Battalion Command Sergeant Major

c/CSM Aguilar, Luis

Hello cadets — I am Cadet Command Sergeant Major Aguilar and I will be your CSM for the 2023-2024 SY. My job as CSM is to maintain and instill discipline within the battalion along with keeping track of team events and practices. I will be working closely with the Battalion Commander and the S3 Operations Officer to ensure that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, I oversee the Color Guard, Flag Detail, and mentor the Company First Sergeants.

In my spare time I like to work out and cook however I do play games from time to time.

JROTC Career

I was like every other cadet— I got introduced my freshmen year to the program. I became a squad leader and stayed a Squad Leader for a quarter before becoming a Platoon Sergeant. For a while, I was no longer in a class period. Still interested in the program, I made the decision to join the Regulation Team where I practiced consistently on a daily basis for district comp. After that, I was introduced to the Armed Drill Team (ADT) which opened my mind to join other teams. I can now proudly say that I am part of five various teams.

Academics

I am your average student. I attend EID. Here are some of my favorite class Pre-cal, history. I enjoy what EID has to offer. I find it really useful when it comes to the engineering aspect of it. I like the fact that I have the knowledge to create something and not have to depend on someone to make it for me. Overall I believe that EID is a good school for those individuals out there like myself that want to explore and learn hands-on.
