Battalion Master At Arms NCO-IC

c/1LT Robles, Maximo

Hello, I am c/1LT Robles. I am one of the Master at Arms for this school year. Some of my responsibilities as Master at Arms are to keep inventory of our rifles, color guard equipment, and archery equipment. We also help team captains like regulation, and armed drill with teaching their members. Masters at Arms are also in charge of flag detail.

I am a sophomore at kearny EID. I spend most of my free time during school in the JROTC area. I have a lot of free time, but not enough stuff to do. Some of my hobbies are working out, reading, playing guitar(learning), collecting Lego sets and playing video games sometimes. I wake up pretty early-ish(4:30), but I am not sleep deprived. I also listen to music a lot. I mostly listen to heavy metal and nu-metal.

JROTC Career

I am currently a LET-2 cadet in staff. My rank right now is cadet first lieutenant. When I first started High School and JROTC, I was in Charlie company as a normal cadet with no leadership role. After a change of company leadership, I was assigned 4th squad leader, then eventually 1st squad leader. I then became one of the two platoon sergeants. Near the end of the school year, I got a staff position as one of the Masters at Arms, the NCOIC, which is where I am now. I am also in a variety of teams: I’m in the armed drill team, color guard, regulation, and flag detail. I am actually the team commander for ADT and Flag detail. Being the team commander for ADT is what got me my current rank.

Academics

As I said earlier, I am a sophomore in EID. I joined EID because I’ve always liked engineering stuff and it also seemed like the best school to join based on what I’m planning to do in the future. I have managed to get straight A’s in time for all the important dates like quarters and semester grades. I also just started taking my first college class this school year.

Awards and Decoration

Arc pins: Flag detail, Armed drill, and Regulation. I also have the armed drill cord. I have one medal, which is the superior cadet medal. My ribbons are: Superior cadet, N-1-6 (Leadership development service), N-3-3 (Proficiency), N-3-4 (Drill team), N-3-9(Commendation), N-2-4, and N-4-5.

Other Achievements

I managed to have a 4.0 GPA for my semester grades during freshman year (22-23 school year).
